The Director of Procurement is responsible for the management and oversight of procurement activities and transactions, the creation of policies and procedures, preparing reports, analysis, presentations, and providing administrative and direct support. He or she will direct the streamlining of the procurement cycle, contracting and sourcing throughout the organization. Also, the Director will implement an innovative and efficient centralized purchasing function that utilizes available technology and achieves overall savings. Develop a communication strategy that keeps program and corporate customers informed and well served.
This position assumes complete accountability for day to day management of the procurement cycle and will own the organizational wide effort to reduce indirect spend while, at the same time, ensuring that Bancroft develops strong relationships with vendors that provide outstanding goods and services.
