About The Department

The Bancorp Retail Operations department is the backbone of the Bank and provides back-office support to all of our business lines including our Fintech Solutions, Institutional Banking, Commercial Lending and Real Estate Bridge Lending teams. Retail Operations supports onboarding clients, money movement capabilities and provides servicing to our various lending clients in an efficient manner to meet our clients unique business goals.

About The Role

The VP Operations reports into the Director of Operations and will work closely with operation leadership and our various business lines to deliver, monitor, and communicate progress on all functions supported in Retail Operations. One day this self-starter will lead projects and assess the business processes and the next may identify and resolve gaps with a hands-on approach. This position is both strategic and tactical and will work with all levels in the Organization.

What You Will Do

• Develop and implement efficient strategies for data tracking across the Department which can be leveraged for various reporting requirements including internal and business lines needs. Ensure data accuracy and follows up with appropriate stakeholders to review and resolve data integrity issues.
• Coordinates and manages timely and accurate data analytics and reporting to provide the leadership team with monthly operational metrics.
• Oversees strategic initiatives from ideation to implementation and be the voice of Retail Operations and be able to represent the impacts of changes to our various teams.
• Support the documentation of standard business processes and identify automation opportunities. Develop a framework for identifying and tracking efficiencies/productivity within the Retail Operations group.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills Needed for Success

• Undergraduate degree in business or finance or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 10 years banking operations field experience.
• Strong background in process improvement, operational reporting, and metric development.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting and reconcilement, NACHA (National Automated Clearinghouse Association Rules and Regulations preferred.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• A self-starter and strategic thinker who exhibits flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments.
