Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, the Accounting Manager position is a dynamic manager role with primary responsibility for managing the financial activities of the Costa Mesa parent company, along with financial accounting consolidation responsibilities of subsidiaries. Additional responsibilities include ensuring integrity of financial statements, overseeing adequate internal controls, reporting, forecasting, planning and continuous improvement in financial and management reporting. 

Key Job Responsibilities

• Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts receivables, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credit and collections, payroll, general & entity accounting
• Manage all financial accounting processes and activities: monthly closing, (accruals, journal entries, balance sheet accounts reconciliations, intercompany, GRIR, submissions of month end closing schedules, etc.), and account receivables (Aging report, GRIR review, Roll forward, etc) and Cost Center spending review
• Maintain Vendor/Customer master file 
• Responsible for all internal/external audit requests 
• Perform vendors’ audit
• Responsible for filing Property Taxes and prepare analysis for monthly/quarterly prepayments of CA Sales & Used Tax
• Perform additional financial analysis for special ad hoc projects as needed
• Assist in the development and compilation of the annual financial consolidated budget and oversee monthly budget to actual monthly reporting
• Interface with outside audit firms(s), banks, and credit card companies
• Function as the primary working contact to the outside audit team in support of compiling and producing materials as required during audit field work 
• Foster a team focused work environment and promote team work within the organization
• Show a “hands-on” attitude and capacity to dig into details but also to step back and convey key messages to management

Requirements

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting of Finance, MBA/CPA/CMA a plus

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 10-15 years of accounting experience including experience in manufacturing environment

Required Skills/Abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting of Finance, MBA/CPA/CMA a plus
• Minimum of 10-15 years of accounting experience including experience in manufacturing environment
• Financial consolidation experience coupled with foreign currency management
• In-depth working knowledge of large scale, multi-module ERP systems – SAP experience is required 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Working knowledge of on-line banking and systems
• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles, US GAAP & IFRS
