Manager, Financial Planning and AnalysisReports to: Chief Financial Officer

The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for leading the planning, forecasting, budgeting, modeling and analytical activities to support smart business decisions and the overall financial health of BAI. The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis should be comfortable in a dynamic environment, be willing to lead change within the company, and take a leadership role in developing and delivering business reporting, metrics and analysis to support all of BAI’s businesses. This position will interact with departments throughout the company as well as with the Controller and other team members to support department and company goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the enterprise-wide annual budgeting and financial planning process including preparation, coordination, analysis, consolidation, reporting and implementation.
• Develop periodic forecasts updating financial plans and budgets.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operating reports along with other schedules, dashboards and reports for management and Board of Directors presentations.
• Proactively analyze financial results, trends and key business drivers, including timely and insightful variance analysis and reporting against strategic plan, budget and forecast.
• Prepare sales, revenue and deferred revenue reporting.
• Calculate, track and report sales commissions across all of BAI’s businesses.
• Prepare cash flow projections.
• Lead the implementation of new budgeting and reporting software in connection with the implementation of a new financial and billing system.
• Develop financial analysis, modeling and reporting to support new products, lines of business and business ventures.
• Oversee, in collaboration with staff in other departments, the budgeting, forecasting and reporting for major projects across all lines of business.
• Identify opportunities for improvement including automation of manual processes and developing solutions to recommend to management.
• Conduct review and analysis of customer, sales and contract data entered into various systems for accuracy and completeness.
• Supervise, train, and coach Financial Analyst(s).
• Perform ad hoc analysis and work on special projects as needed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related area. MBA preferred but not required.
• Five years relevant financial planning and analysis experience.
• Three years of managerial experience.
• Must have exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with ability to spot trends in business metrics and proactively report and communicate with management.
• Experience leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, modeling and analysis within a business.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point including advanced Excel financial modeling skills.
• Experience extracting, analyzing and reporting on large volumes of data.
• Must be highly organized with strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to learn and develop a strong business knowledge and skill set.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required, as this role interacts with all levels across the company and must be able to work well both in cross-functional project teams and independently.
• Must have exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Experience implementing budgeting and reporting software a plus.
• The ability to work overtime on occasion will be required.
