Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an Intermediate System/Network Architect to join our team supporting the United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center under the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services contract located at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The C5ISR Center is an applied research and advanced technology development center which develops and integrates C5ISR technologies that enable information dominance and decisive lethality for the networked Warfighters. The C5ISR Center provides the Army with secure communications/networking technologies through R&D innovations. The successful candidate will serve as the System/Network Architect supporting CSIA engineering and operations. This position develops the core technical platform, capabilities, and services that support business processes and data including: Mapping the relationships between IT platform/infrastructure components (i.e., Technology End Users, IT Systems Software & Hardware, and Info-Communications Transmission Networks). Identifying the key technology interactions and dependencies across systems/platforms impacting the organization's ability to achieve integration, compatibility, and performance targets. Evaluating total cost of ownership and return on investment of various IT platform/infrastructure alternatives.
Must be able to clearly translate user needs to system and/or network design, and create system and/or network management processes and documentation. Must have experience planning goals for system and/or network operations.
The position will require ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with diverse groups of clients.#CSIA
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Minimum education of Bachelor's Degree. Minimum degree requirement of Engineering Degree, or a Related Scientific or Technical discipline is required
  • Minimum years of experience of 5 years. 8 years of additional Relevant Experience may be substituted for education requirement
  • Current Top Secret level security clearance, must be eligible to obtain SCI
  • Professionally recognized cybersecurity certifications per DoDD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01-M / IAT-II Security
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Top Secret/SCI level security clearance
