BADGER STATE FRUIT PROCESSING is Hiring a Production machine operator Near Pittsville, WI

Description

Production machine operator in Pittsville, WI.

Starting $18.25-18.75, plus $1,000 sign on bonus.

Benefits:

  • Vacation: 40 hours after 90 days of employment 80 hours after one year of employment
  • Holidays: 8 designated
  • 401K: company matches ½ up to 5%
  • Medical Plans: 2 options through Security Health both having a Health Savings account with the company contributing $1,500 a year.
  • Dental and vision, Life Insurance, Short/Long Term Disability: plans available.

Schedule:

  • 2-2-3 schedule 2 days on 2 days off 3 days on following week 2 days off 2 days on 3 days off
  • 6am to 6pm or 6 pm to 6 am. $2.00/hr differential for the night shift. 
  • Scheduled holidays off

A Production machine operator supports operations in order to meet production quality and quantity standards. Attention to detail, dependability and attendance are all requirements in this role. Perform all aspects of production machine operation, food preparation and packaging under the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF). 

Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Start up, maintain, and shut down food processing equipment.
  • Perform all basic aspects of safety protocols.
  • Perform necessary readings on equipment.
  • Run equipment to proper parameters to ensure production efficiency.
  • Maintain and adhere to GMPs.
  • Adhered to SOPs regarding production and SSOPs regarding Clean In Place (CIP) sanitation.
  • Accurately record and document equipment readings.
  • Assist in evaluation of processes, discuss improvements and help implement changes to increase production efficiency through customized solutions.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating manuals for production processes throughout facility.
  • Attend educational, industry sessions and seminars as deemed necessary.
  • Assist with any special projects at the request of Management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

  • Hair restraints are required. Earplugs, safety glasses and or other PPE may be required. 
  • Ability to constantly stand/walk; climb stairs; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with left or right hand. 
  • Use of motor skills to safely drive tow motors in tight quarters. 
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with temperatures ranging from 55°-95°F.

Required education and experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid drivers license
