As a value-added distributor and assembler, the company maintains niche capabilities in designing cables, harnesses, box assemblies, and build to print assemblies. 

While BJG is constantly growing they still maintain their family roots and leadership team. BJG is now currently looking for a Machinist.

Key Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:

• Basic operation and maintenance of CNC Mills
• Review’s drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples, measure and inspect and make dimensional adjustments to ensure accurate production
• Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping
• Ensure first piece production and internal documentation is complete and within customer/company specifications following set-up
• Visual inspection of the parts manufactured
• Perform machine maintenance documentation and departmental housekeeping as required
• Communicate with fellow employees about production jobs and machine operations and assist in operation as needed
• Constantly learning and improving proficiency on operation of CNC Mills

Qualifications:

• Ability to speak English fluently and understand directions given in English is required for the safe and effective performance of the job and the successful operation of BJG’s business
• Ability to communicate in writing, interpret written and verbal instructions
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Basic shop math and use of precision measuring instruments
• Proficiency in using the personal computer include Windows based applications

Skills:

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
• Ability to see, feel and hear surface and functional defects and handle small parts
• Ability to meet normal quality and quantity standards

Physical/Mental Demands must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation including but not limited to:

• Standing for 75% of the time
• Lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Sitting for prolonged periods
• Mental awareness of surroundings
