Job Overview: Under direct supervision, the BI analyst creates reports based on data stored on various B&H databases and the central data warehouse. S/he is responsible for gathering information on report requests from internal teams, analyze them, determine the parameters and publish the reports in timely manner. Essential Responsibilities: Receive report requests and gather information needed to prioritize/ plan report creation Research and determine the parameters to create report containing actionable metrics. Coordinate with requestor(s) maintaining clear line of communication for effective delivery of reports Additional Responsibilities: Familiarity with Cognos’s Report Studio as well as the interface, layout, and popular commands Interpret SQL coding language and utilize a minimal manipulation of back-end code Conceptual understanding of data warehouse design and report generation process Conceptual understanding of table links and data connections Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to manage competing priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines Strong communications skills Solution oriented problem-solving Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:Experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)Experience using BI tools like Cognos, Tableau, MicroStrategy etc
