What do we do?

Azure Summit Technology provides a wide range of multi-channel software defined radio products, innovative signal processing solutions and end-to-end mission payloads and systems for the full range of advanced RF applications including EW, radar, communications, and multi-mode RF operations. Systems can be tailored to meet a variety of requirements for bandwidth, dynamic range, number of channels, and computational resources. Supported platforms range from resource-constrained small UAVs and wearable devices to manned aircraft and maritime vessels.

What will you do?

Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking a Contracts Administrator. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. This position is located at our Fairfax, Virginia, headquarters with occasional overnight travel to our Melbourne, Florida, office, and various customer sites as required. Your future team has worked together to produce the following job description:

You will be able to successfully support a high visibility, high-volume, dynamic workload of contracts of all types, as well as Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, and other contractual agreements with customers and industry partners. You will perform cradle to grave contract administration including but not limited to:

  • Review and analyze incoming requests for proposal/quotation and associated correspondence
  • Advise program managers and senior management on regulatory and contractual requirements and specifications
  • Use your strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail to support preparation and submission of proposals and quotations, including but not limited to risk assessment and pricing review, organizational conflict of interest assessment, and appropriate assertion of data rights
  • Participate in negotiations to establish basic contractual and performance requirements
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and specifications
  • Monitor performance and make informed recommendations to program managers and senior management
  • Collaborate with program managers and senior management to develop effective contractual communications to internal and external stakeholders
  • Request and negotiate amendments or modifications to contractual agreements as appropriate
  • Maintain complete, compliant, and well-organized contractual records and documentation
  • Perform contract closeout
  • Support US Government, third-party, and internal audits / assessments of company processes, procedures, and business activities as required
  • Support preparation and submission of program data item deliverables as required
  • Support other business operations functions including but not limited to Finance/Accounting, Supply Chain, and Government Property Administration as required

Basic Requirements

  • US citizenship, due to nature of the work and contract requirement
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, due to contract requirement
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7 years’ experience in DoD contract administration
  • 7 years’ experience with all aspects of contract administration from proposal submission through final closeout for all contract types, including FFP, T&M, cost reimbursable, in both a prime and subcontractor role
  • 7 years’ experience with negotiation and contract administration in both competitive and sole source environments
  • 7 years’ experience negotiating with industry partners, including but not limited to Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active security clearance
  • 12 years’ experience in DoD contract administration
  • Experience administering SBIR contracts
  • Experience with AS9100D compliance
  • Experience with ProPricer
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint
  • Familiarity with commercial pricing
