Azumo is Hiring a Human Resources Business Partner Near Chicago, IL

Azumo is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to collaborate with the C-suite and management team members to determine, prioritize, and execute on HR and general business needs. The Human Resources Business Partner will be centrally involved in setting and communicating operational and strategic priorities and manage coordination of meeting content and follow-ups. You will have direct exposure to the Executive team and will help shape the company as we move into our next stage of growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior leadership to recommend, research and implement new approaches, policies, procedures, and tools with a focus on scale.
  • Be the heart of the day-to-day operations and activities including office management and event coordination, general scheduling, expense reports, document management, inventory management, and other administrative tasks.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices within the HR function to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Integrate inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility in all of our programs and processes.
  • Provide direct administrative support to the C-suite by maintaining calendars and contacts, planning travel logistics, and preparing presentations.
  • Plan and coordinate company internal events (i.e., team outings, etc.)
  • Anticipate the needs of the team and help them stay focused on their projects by resolving operational and administrative issues before they arise.
  • Adapt and move quickly with the changing environment, while maintaining strict confidentiality on all matters relating to the company.
  • Keep the pulse of the team, helping to create a positive and healthy work environment, and surfacing any observed issues to the executive team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

We are looking for a technically astute individual who has experience with HR administration and process improvement. We are eager to hire someone who is proactive and forward thinking. The ideal candidate has a good sense of humor and enjoys working hard. While we have active lives outside of the office, we’re dedicated to our work and each other, and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources operations, payroll or benefit administration with desire to learn more about employee relations, performance management, learning and development, and general company operations
  • Experience in fundamental administrative tools and processes (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail & G Suite, mailing and shipping, travel booking, etc.)
  • Experience with data collection and analysis, and a desire to bring a data driven decision making approach to the role
  • Experience objectively working with employees and management through complex, difficult issues and problem solving
  • Applied knowledge of federal, state and local laws and statutes for employment
  • Strong demonstrated professionalism and an ability to manage expectations and personalities of a diverse group of executives
  • Detail oriented, organized, and self-directed with ability to act in an autonomous capacity
  • Start-up experience a plus
