AXPM Dental Management LLC is Hiring a Director of Procurement Near Little Rock, AR

Description

The Director of Procurement will oversee and manage the procurement processes, policies, and procurement team at Rock Dental Brands. The Director of Procurement shall manage all vendor relationships in a hands-on role overseeing the strategic and tactical sourcing and spend for clinicals equipment and supplies, software, hardware, non-employee people resources, and goods. The Director of Procurement is responsible for managing spend and meeting or exceeding budgets including Capital Expenditures, occupancy expense and supply expense. 

Job Duties

  • Identify, negotiate, and achieve cost reductions through strong analytical and leadership skills with suppliers and vendors, meeting year-over-year cost reduction goals including but not limited to occupancy and supply cost.
  • Act as a point of contact between RDB and suppliers and vendors for all organization departments
  • Establish and monitor metrics to include cost savings and avoidance, policy compliance, purchase order cycle time, and supplier compliance
  • Strategically develop and execute capital investment plan annually including leasehold improvements, dental equipment and IT investments
  • Identify and execute synergies for integrating new practices
  • Manage centralized procurement team (direct reports) handling day to day transactions, purchases, and deals
  • Manage direct report responsible for all facilities to include lease agreements, maintenance, renovations, and parking facilities
  • Ensure organization departments and business partners have a clear understanding of purchasing policies, finance policies, and the procurement approval matrix or signing authority
  • Improve external-facing and internal procurement processes and policies, including justification and approval gates, efficiency, timeliness, and proactiveness
  • Build, oversee, and manage an enterprise contract repository with proactive alerts and notices and use the repository to drive renewal negotiation tasks and steps across RDB
  • Work closely and partner with the legal department to ensure contract terms are favorable to the organization
  • Process purchase orders and follow financial processes to acquire goods
  • Manage an efficient flow of goods to ensure optimum production; develop just-in-time models for procurement, eliminating large areas of carried inventory
  • Work closely and partner with the finance department for visibility, budget alignment, approvals, and negotiations
  • Host and lead regular enterprise reviews of the vendor and supplier landscape and progress
  • Build cross-department relationships with department leaders and budget owners for true alignment, support, and accountability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • 5 Years of experience required, dental clinical experience preferred
  • Must be analytical and detail oriented, with exceptional communication skills
  • Strong understanding and historical experience of procurement and negotiation techniques
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects from conception to completion in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Working knowledge of dental supplies and ordering process
  • Working knowledge of quality and cost management
  • Inventory Management experience (JIT Inventory Systems) a plus!

Work Environment:

Normal office environment with the following demands. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 70% of the time, occasionally moving about inside the office to access office equipment, meetings, etc. Operates a computer 95% of the time with frequent communication with internal team members and possible external vendors. May be required at times to lift items up to 25 lbs and may be required to travel to satellite locations. May have to visit clinics and while performing these duties, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of radiation. The noise level is usually moderate. Therefore, our employee must be able to, both physically and emotionally, effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job.
