Job Summary and Opportunity

Intern Program Dates:

Session 1: 5/31/2023 - 8/18/2023

Session 2: 6/21/2023 - 9/08/2023

Responsibilities

Intern will work with the VP, ALM Manager on various projects. Some will be one-off tasks that span a week or less while others will be more comprehensive and span the duration of the internship. The intern will also have opportunities to participate in internal and external calls, meetings, and other joint projects with other Axos team members. Specific job duties will include:

  • Prepayment study for loan portfolio
  • Deposit beta and decay study
  • Moody’s data buffet for economic projections
  • Interest rate risk management
  • Credit model study
  • R programming
  • Data management in SQL

Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a bachelors/masters degree in a technical discipline from an accredited University
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel 
  • Self motivated, detail oriented and organized
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

A targeted hourly range of USD $16.30/Hr. - USD $25.00/Hr., based on the experience, skills, and education/certification required for this position.
