Job Description

Job Summary and Opportunity

Axos is looking for an exceptional leader to create and manage a Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) team within the Consumer Banking Group. You will be will be responsible for creating and articulating the vision for this team, building a scalable program, and helping to drive optimized processes. As leader of the CPI team, you will work closely with business leaders to develop a portfolio of customer and non-customer facing process improvement projects, and execute those projects using the appropriate process improvement and project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop CPI strategy for the Consumer Banking Group including people, process, and technology
  • Build a high performing team to assist in executing the CPI strategy
  • Work closely with business leaders to identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities impacting revenue, costs and business risk with minimal supervision
  • Lead the CPI team to optimize processes using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and Dynamic Work Design, where appropriate
  • Provide project management support to all inflight projects
  • Establish reporting and regular meetings with senior management to provide updates on the success of the CPI program

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related discipline

  • 7 years of continuous improvement leadership applying the elements of Lean, Six Sigma, or Dynamic Work Design, ideally in a financial services environment 
  • 4 years' managing a team
  • Certification/Licensure: Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt in DMAIC, Lean or Design for Six Sigma methodologies and/or Project Management Certification, preferred
  • Proven track record of leading process improvement projects
  • Strong project management, prioritization, process mapping, and data analysis skills
  • Able to communicate complex ideas to all levels of an organization
  • Ability to influence leaders and support organizations
