Progressive Technology Federal Systems is Hiring a Corporate Technical Recruiter Near Rockville, MD

Position: Corporate Technical Recruiter

Position Summary: PTFS seeks an experienced Technical Recruiter adept at hiring cleared DoD and IC industry professionals to include Software and DevOPs engineers and other technical professionals. Must be customer driven with a good understanding of Prime/Sub relationships and be excited to find great talent for our company, our customers, and their mission.

What You’ll Do:

  • Must be able to source, identify, coordinate candidates for internal as well as contract positions in the intelligence and other federal agencies.
  • Be adept at using tools and techniques to successfully source candidates including being well-versed in using social media platforms for outreach.
  • Collaborate with marketing to engage candidates and retain current workforce.
  • Coordinate and confirm interview and selection activities for internal and external recruitment practices.
  • Conduct preliminary interviews with skilled prospects to gauge interest, personality, fit, and salary requirements and initiate the pre-hire process.
  • Participate in meetings with hiring managers, and teams to determine workforce needs. 
  • Apply standardized screening techniques, assess the skills, qualifications, and experience of top talent all in compliance with OFCCP requirements.
  • Provide feedback and metrics to management about details regarding candidate activity.
  • Collaborate with partner personnel on candidate status and the interview process.
  • Attend networking events, job fairs, help with marketing event planning/execution, as well as other creative efforts.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years in recruiting candidates in the Federal space, including but not limited to those with high level security clearances (up to and including TS/SCI Poly) for the IC and DoD markets.
  • Be geared towards exhausting all options to bring solutions to talent acquisition challenges.
  • Must be well versed in all current (and upcoming) social media platforms used to attract, inform, refer, retain as well as entertain our target workforce.
  • Experience with a variety of Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably ADP Workforcenow
  • Documented experience successfully recruiting/hiring highly skilled technical professionals (including but not limited to: Systems Administrators, , Test Engineers, Cloud Developers, Web Developers, Data Architect, Data Scientists SW System Engineers, Linux Engineers...)
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Eligibility for success bonus

Work Conditions/Physical Factors:

  • This position is based at our Rockville Maryland Corporate office and is eligible for a hybrid schedule.
  • Ability to travel locally.
