The HR Business Partner partners closely with assigned client groups and HR COEs to develop and execute HR strategies, programs, and solutions that are designed to enable the organization to successfully meet its strategic initiatives and encourage a high performance culture. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Acts as a strategic business partner to assigned client groups. Evaluates and recommends HR solutions that are aligned with business priorities. Ensures the organization’s talent is kept at the forefront of strategy discussions and helps guide both management and HR COEs to align businesses needs and HR deliverables. Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the organization in general, and the business units specifically, as related to talent, culture, strategic goals and longer term plans, financial position and position in the market. Provides sound advice and strategic direction to leaders while partnering on strategy, as well as day-to-day activities in the following areas: Talent Management – Encourages a high performance culture through initiatives that engage and retain talent. Partners with client groups and the Talent Management team to establish strategies for the development of talent, including succession planning exercises and strategies. Liaises with client groups on the performance management process, including training, guidance, and calibration exercises. Talent Acquisition – Partners with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition team to strategize over current and future staffing needs, including internal mobility as well as external talent. Organizational Design – Ensures that the organization’s structure is aligned with business needs and is positioned to optimize the organization’s talent to achieve its goals. Works with management to strategize, recommend, and drive changes, partnering closely through any restructuring efforts. Employee Relations – Partners closely with management and employees to address concerns and help optimize the working environment. Provides counsel in the management of underperforming employees and the ongoing monitoring of employment issues. Compensation – Works in partnership with the Compensation team to ensure the organization’s compensation strategy is understood and implemented among the business leaders and employees. Plays a key role in the annual compensation process as well as off-cycle compensation needs that may arise. REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree required Typically requires a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in an HR Business Partner role High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Workday experience, a plus.
