The Axis Industries platform was formed in 2008 as Axis Industrial Services and expanded with the acquisition of Travis Industries, TAM Services, and Anchor Industrial Services in 2021. Since its founding, Axis Industries has been a preferred service provider to many of the largest and most demanding refining, petrochemical, power generation, and industrial processing facilities.
The Sales Operations Administrator reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Business Development and Sales and has direct responsibility for the management of the AXIS’ new opportunity and bid log tool. This role will also be responsible for managing the Company’s lead generation system and will lead the effort with assistance from the EVP of Business Development and sales with trade shows and customer event strategy and planning.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of the Company’s new opportunity and bid log tool. This includes suggestions for system improvements and how to utilize system to generate revenue growth.
- Monitor the opportunity log to ensure none are past due.
- Work with system users to ensure the system is utilized correctly and manage the Company backlog.
- Responsible for ensuring that the backlog system is updated on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for making sure that we have no past due open bids in the bid log and following up with the Project managers and estimators and Business Development team are updating timely.
- Attending weekly Business Development meeting.
- Ensure all bids and signed contracts are loaded into the proper systems in accordance to pre-determined deadlines.
- Preparing the necessary Business Development reports for all team and management meetings.
- Maintaining the event calendar for tradeshows, customer events, etc.
- Take lead on trade shows and other customer and industry related events that could help grow and maintain the business. These efforts will receive final approval from EVP of Business Development and Sales and CEO.
- Work closely with EVP of Business Development and Sales on marketing items such as brochures, editorals, and other marketing items including the LinkedIn account.
- Communication is key and this role will pay a key part in the communication process within the Company. The individual should feel comfortable sharing suggestions on process improvement withing the BD group as well as internal and external communications with clients. These suggestions should first be shared with the EVP of Business Development for discussion.

Duties & Responsibilities
- High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a similar area, preferred.
- At least five years of experience in Sales and/or Operations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in order to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Technical skills required to create and review bids and proposals, manage company backlog and follow up with necessary parties to ensure estimates are closed out in a timely manner.
- Knowledgeable in MS Office, especially MS Excel
- Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities.
- Be proactive, organized and handle work under stressful and uncertain environments.
