Position Summary:The role of the Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor is responsible for delivering high quality clinical supervision to all assigned clinical staff. This position is also responsible for providing direct clinical care and participating as a member of the program team to design and implement the individual care plans for program clients in accordance with policies, rules, regulations, and directives which apply. This position utilizes a variety of treatment approaches and case coordination to work with a diverse client population. This position will also be called upon to provide expertise for center policy and programming and must be capable of independent action while ensuring their actions represent the policies, priorities, and values of Axis Health System.

Our ideal candidate for our Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor position will have master’s degree in one of the recognized mental health professions and be Licensed or license eligible in the State of Colorado as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LAC, CAC III or PhD. They will also have a minimum of five (5) years of post-graduate clinical experience in a healthcare setting. The experience must include at least two (2) years of supervisory experience. Lastly, LAC certification is preferred.

Salary: Starting at $64,480.00 - $70,428.80, annually and considers preferred experience and preferred education described below.

Physical demands:Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between AHS locations. Possible potential exposure to communicable disease. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. AHS may make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

Required Skills:

  • A working knowledge of Substance Abuse treatment, issues, dynamics, and structure of treatment modalities including educational groups.
  • A working knowledge of individual, group, family, and crisis treatment approaches and their application to clients with emotional, behavioral, vocational and/or substance use disorder problems (including detox protocol).
  • Ability to summarize service themes from a variety of client contracts and communicate suggested improvements for service delivery.
  • Ability to produce written documentation of clinical work in a manner readily understood by other service providers.
  • Ability to effectively communicate clinical program needs and services to individuals and groups.
  • Ability to communicate performance expectations and company policy to staff.
  • Ability to work well with other agencies in the community.
  • Ability to coordinate program within the scope of all applicable state regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to do mental status exams, data bases and differential diagnoses, service planning, assessment case management and treatment.
  • Ability to assess level of risk and make appropriate clinical judgment for resolution of client emergencies to affect a safe outcome.
  • Ability to provide leadership both independently and as a member of management teams in decision making, implementation, and quality compliance.
  • Working knowledge of Colorado Revised Statutes 27-65 (Mental Health Code)
  • Working knowledge of HIPPA and 42 CFR.
  • Knowledge of community health and mental health resources and their eligibility criteria.
  • Ability to relate in a supportive and non-judgmental manner with persons in distress.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate standard office equipment including scanner, computer, calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.
  • Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and ability to access the internet.
  • Ability to be helpful and sensitive to the needs of all employees, while concurrently respecting corporate policies, procedures and priorities.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
  • Ability to communicate job-related information to individuals and small groups.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; plan own work schedule effectively and multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes-hectic environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to concentrate in sometimes hectic and stressful settings.
  • Ability to read and understand written materials.
  • Must regard work as confidential.
  • Ability to take on additional duties when necessary.
  • Occasional Travel required.
  • Must have current driver’s license, qualify for commercial vehicle insurance, and maintain a driving record that allows insurability with AHS’ insurance agency.

Additional eligibility requirements:Annual Flu immunization, Annual TB screening, CPI training within 90 days of hire, BLS PRO certification required within 90 days of hire.
