Axis Automation is Hiring a CNC Machinist / Programmer Near Grand Rapids, MI
Position Description:
- Responsible for execution of multiple projects and coordination of machining activities
- Ability to write programs for the CNC machines
- Running multiple CNC machines simultaneously
- Participate with planning and purchasing departments to determine internal & external workload capacity.
- Actively participate in pre-release design reviews to provide feedback for optimizing manufacturing design
- Ensure machining tasks are executed in the most effective manner in regard to time, cost and function.
- Ensure internal quality checks are conducted prior to release and/or shipment.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to follow project schedules and labor requirements for assigned jobs.
- Coordinates work requirements utilizing drawings, customer specifications and manuals as necessary.
- Champions company policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with safety procedures and practices good housekeeping.
- Responsible for work order management and charging time and materials to correct project.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Specific experience with Haas CNC vertical milling machines
- Proficient in MasterCam 2017 or equivalent
- 3-10 year minimum CNC experience
- 1-3 years minimum programming experience
- High school degree or equivalent
- Driver’s License
