Axis Automation is Hiring an Accounting Manager Near Grand Rapids, MI
Job Description:
Our Accounting Manager will be a driven, hands-on and self-starting individual responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Oversee all fiscal activity for the Company, including accounting activities, budgeting, and cash management
- Plan and forecast overall financial vision for the Company to ensure productive financial operations
- Report to and work with the Company’s President on all financial matters
- Provide financial analyses to evaluate company growth opportunities, projects, programs, capital expenditures, capital structure scenarios, costing, etc.
- Lead the financial reporting process including account analysis, reconciliation and work-in-process project tracking
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Develop annual budget and manage company expenses
- Ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and reporting standards
- Coordinate the provision of information to external parties for financial review and tax preparation
- Assist with contract administration including provisions that may impact operations, project management and risk
- Liaise with all departments including engineering, operations, human resources and supply chain departments to provide financial oversight and feedback to our business
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related quantitative field
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience including understanding of all general ledger activities
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Manufacturing- or engineering-related cost accounting preferred
- Understanding of information technologies and computerized systems
- Sense of urgency to accomplish tasks on-time and accurately
- Understanding of contract administration, implications and interpretation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive projects
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Salary range for this position is $70k-90k annually.
