JOB BRIEF

This position will be the communication center for sales, PM, AE for all orders status. Operation Supervisor is a diverse position covering the planning, scheduling, releasing, and tracking of all orders from customer PO to ship out the finished product through the manufacturing department: Purchasing, Warehouse, Integration, QC and Shipping. Actively participates in initiatives to improve overall process and performance.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

Provide and lead support to both internal and external parties with a high level of professionalism and in a manner that reflects positively on the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • This position will create and maintain a completed production scheduling system for Axiomtek.
  • Coordinate with purchasing department develop and maintain supplier purchasing lead time guideline.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, and Production to develop and maintain standard timeline for acknowledging customer PO. (Delivery date, item requirement, quality…)
  • Analyze project, customer PO information with project managers and Sales/inside Sales. Then effectively communicate the requirements to purchasing and manufacturing personnel. Commit customer PO within the defined timeline.
  • Creating a production schedule for Axiomtek using best combination of SAP, Excel, Email and all available tools. Provide a means to track and manage daily manufacturing workload, provide feedback to operation manager on how to balance production work to optimize production loading base on cost and production and material lead time. Also evaluating by project for considering outsource to HQ for integration. The production schedule should provide an in-depth plan on production requirements, manufacturing capacity, schedule, and workforce size. Monitors, analyzes and reports performance to schedule of production activities, utilizing information derived from material and production. Communicate and advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed and to recommend production standards and manufacturing methods.
  • Identify and resolve supplier and internal errors that result in schedule discrepancies. Work with Sales/sales coordinator, PM to communicate with customer regarding any potential delay or postpone. Research order and delivery discrepancies and resolve MRP related issues. Take appropriate corrective actions to prevent similar issues.
  • Confirm materials supply is available to meet demand. Assist purchasing supervisor in resolving problems concerning over shipment, shortages, engineering changes and cancellation of orders. Monitor components shortage status. Identify common raw material and component requirements for production from PM and AE and product specifications. Ensure accurate item master schedules and bill of materials.
  • Provide continual improvement of the planning and reporting process. Coordinate cross-functional activities with quality assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Inventory Control, and Shipping/Receiving to ensure open communication regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities and project status.
  • Coordinate and manage special projects as required. Oversee assistants as required by department structure and workload. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within each process. Assist with the development, documentation, and implementation of Axiomtek procedures and standards.
  • Responsibilities could include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees in all related departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of projects, individuals and the company.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

  • 4 years experience using ERP/MRP or other systems.
  • One year or more management experience is required.
  • Bachelor of Science (B. S.) degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science or related, or Business related, or two to four years management experience and/or training in production planning in computer industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience with production planning leadership.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical diagrams and procedures.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondences.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, fellow employees and customers.
