Your typical day – Our MDA analysts and engineers work in modern, well-appointed government facilities at Redstone Arsenal. Redstone is located in Huntsville, Alabama, otherwise known as “Rocket City.” Huntsville is the hub of missile and space research and development. You will collaborate with other missile defense experts – military, government civilians, and contractors from Axient and other companies. Our team of experts helps the Government manage planning, development and delivery of state-of-the art sensors, weapons, communications, and command/control systems.
What are your specific duties? - The Senior Systems Analyst will support the Missile Defense Agency Director of Engineering Integration by serving as an Integration Readiness Lead (IRL), focusing specifically on the Terminal High-Altitude Air Defense (THAAD) system. As an IRL, you will help to identify and champion system-level concerns with THAAD in regard to the Missile Defense System (MDS). You will coordinate with the Element's development team to track the system-level concerns identified and maintain a status on the path(s)-forward for resolution. The IRL will act as a liaison between the THAAD program and the MDA Chief Engineer's office for applicable tasks such as Action Item resolution, status briefs, etc. Your focus on THAAD, within the MDS, means that you can/will potentially serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on THAAD within the MDA Chief Engineer's (CE) Office, furthering the scope of impact you will contribute.
