Primary Responsibilities

 The Product Lifecycle Manager will have responsibility for the full Product Life Cycle Management (Launches, Sunsets and Changes) and work collectively with the product, commercial, operations, and supply chain to understand the customers’ requirements and needs and develop appropriate action plans. The Product Lifecycle Manager works collaboratively with the Marketing, Product, Finance and Supply Chain and Operations Leadership in Glen Mills, PA along with the Operations and Supply Chain teams in our production facility in Front Royal, VA for all businesses. In addition, this role will have responsibility for the scheduling, operations, and oversight of site maintenance Product Development Center ("PDC") spray facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Works closely with Product Group and Business to understand customer’s requirements
• Collaborates with Product Group, Customer Service, Supply Chain and Sales to integrate needs and initiate appropriate action 
• Manages the introduction and initiates discontinuation of products
• Initiates product introduction and sunsetting processes based on business direction to commercialize materials 
• Measures and improves product Launch and Sunset KPIs and Product Life Cycle Management
• Continuously improves New Product Introduction workflow process
• Identify potential gaps in the end-to-end launch process
• Reports on product introduction cycle times to key business stakeholders, conducts quality Variance Investigations on delayed product launches and effectively escalate root causes to appropriate function directors.
• Lead contact and coordinating Mechanical contractors to perform essential work on site with minimal interruption of production. To include managing of maintenance contracts 
• Tracks and generating data on site utilization for PDC and RTC shops. Site responsibility for Hazardous Material Management (with all appropriate training), shipping hazardous materials from the Lionsville site and maintaining essential training records
• Responsible for inventory management, materials handling, to keep PDC operating with complete capability to support Refinish and Commercial requirements.
• Support the Product Application Center for Collision and Commercial product development to include preparation and testing of samples to include the mixing of color recipes and preparing materials to be ready to spray. Conducting various measurements on samples to include but not limited to viscosity, film builds, and appearance measurements. Summarizing and reporting of the data.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Four (4) year degree in business, marketing, science, mathematical or an engineering/technical field or equivalent experience
• 5 years experience working within Product Marketing, Support, or Product Development and demonstrates practical knowledge of the product development process. Relevant product or industry experience is highly preferred.
• Previous experience collaborating with commercial, manufacturing and operations teams
• Demonstrated experience in utilizing data analytics in decision making
• Strong project planning skills and problem-solving experience
• Strong communication skills, including clear written, verbal and presentation skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision managing multiple projects and tasks
• Working competency in TIPS, Excel & SAP, ability to clean data and use for analytics. 
• 10%-20% domestic travel
