SiriusXM Aviation and Marine services are part of SiriusXM, the leading audio entertainment company in North America. SiriusXM Aviation delivers weather and related information, so pilots have confidence about whats ahead to make the best decisions inflight. SiriusXM Marine provides graphical weather and fishing info for boaters, allowing them to know the conditions ahead and enjoy their time on the water. Pilots and boaters can add the same SiriusXM entertainment they have in their vehicle to their boat or plane. The SiriusXM Aviation and Marine services are available on industry leading displays within their respective industries.

How youll make an impact:
The Aviation and Marine Sales Manager will have an opportunity to impact this business channel immediately. This individual will manage an existing portfolio of OEMs, dealers, Fleets and Retailers and will be tasked to add new ones to grow the Aviation and Marine subscriber base. The Aviation and Marine Sales Manager will build this exciting business channel by developing and implementing effective sales programs that increase receiver sales and the trial funnel.

What youll do:
The Manager of Aviation and Marine Sales will use their strong B2B Sales and Account Management experience to:

  • Present and persuade OEMS, dealers, distributors, and retailers to purchase and sell SiriusXM Aviation & Marine products and services to pilots and boaters.
  • Work with OEMS and Dealers to build the trial funnel.
  • Develop campaigns for pilots and boaters to purchase receivers and convert trialers to paying subscribers.
  • Secure new Aviation & Marine OEMs, Dealers, Fleets and other accounts
  • Ensure new Aviation and marine OEMs, Dealers, and Fleets are smoothly onboarded to the Aviation and marine programs, including trials and applicable discounts.
  • Provide Aviation & Marine subscribers with essential subscriber management support.
  • Provide accounts with all needed materials, information, and support to fulfill their responsibilities as outlined in their respective contractual commitments.
  • Ensure a regular cadence of communication and reviews, including in-person meetings as needed, to maximize engagement and growth within each account.
  • Proactively identify, lead, and facilitate process improvements to ensure a seamless account experience, from onboarding through activations, changes, invoicing, etc., to subscriptions through each account.
  • Ensure all contractual matters are kept up to date, including proactively renewing agreements over time.
  • Communicate proactively with key stakeholders, including regular updates on initiatives and presentations to the management team.
  • Represent SiriusXM at industry events.
  • Collaborate regularly with Aviation and Marine partners and influencers to gain industry knowledge and identify new OEM and Dealer opportunities.

What youll need:

  • Five years of demonstrated (quantifiable) experience meeting or exceeding sales goals in a B2B environment, preferably in a subscription services business.
  • Five years of experience selling Aviation and Marine products or devices, calling on OEMs, dealers, and retailers.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Economics or Marketing
  • Proven interpersonal skills to establish and maintain highly effective business relationships
  • Effective cross-functional leadership the ability to work successfully with core and extended team members and move account-related initiatives forward
  • Collaborates well in a team environment
  • Clear and effective writing, speaking, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Analytical and strategic thinker
  • Excellent time management skills handling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

  • Able to travel no less than 25% of the time within the U.S. to account meetings, select trade events, etc., as needed.
  • This position requires the use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As required by ITAR, to perform this position, you must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales / account management goals.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of OEMs, Dealers, or Fleets preferred.
  • Aviation and or Marine industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Weather services a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge and competence with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Zoom or equivalent video conferencing tool.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
