Aviation & Missile Solutions (AMS) is seeking a talented Software Product Ownerto join our Huntsville, AL team.

The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). The PO will be responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for the Infrastructure Services and Libraries (ISL) team.

The position will include reviewing/understanding Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms and providing guidance to the development team. The PO will support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for software updates and be responsible for their verification.

The product owner will work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint. The position will include technical briefings, demonstrations and advisement to leadership.

The product owner will report on status; recommended courses of actions, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Required Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics.

Must have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed:

Must have a strong understanding of middleware software concepts and the following capabilities in a large system; logging, data harvest, thread management, IDL generation and user interface utilities.

Must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.

Must be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset

Other Qualifications:

Desired: Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS. The ability to "move out" and champion your ideas, architectures, designs, enthusiasm; independent critical thinking; and a team attitude are very important.

Experience in JIRA/Confluence is a plus. Security Requirements:

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
