Position & Purpose Summary
Sr. Director, Marketplace Insights, is a key part of the AVIA team; A dynamic and growing team that delivers strategic work that enables and accelerates digital health strategies and initiatives.
This position will play a pivotal role with health systems by conducting compelling and in depth market validated research on discrete topics in digital health and collaborating on the writing and publishing of Market Insights (AVIA Marketplace product) at a regular cadence. In this role you will provide customers and prospects with pragmatic and actionable advice aligned to their designated topic area. You will also help develop thought leadership pertaining to digital health topic areas for consumption in written publications and presentations (conferences, webinars, roundtables etc).

    • Defines project plans with appropriate dependencies and manages upward to balance risk while identify mitigation tactics
    • Stellar analytical and critical thinking skills; you know how to break complex problems down into component parts, prioritize their value, and deliver concise, actionable insight
    • Balances multiple demands simultaneously, including independent ownership of project scopes including managing sub tasks to deliver independently
    • Maintains mentoring relationships with direct reports and peers, and supports individuals' growth development as well as work product quality
    • Consistently makes well-informed decisions even under pressure, learns and adapts from outcomes
    • Builds enduring longitudinal relationships with members, clients, and solution company stakeholders, and builds a positive personal brand with leaders, peers, and clients as a "team player"
    • Reinforces AVIA's value every day by engaging clients via in-person and virtual meetings, AVIA summit and industry events
    • Apply personal experience and technical expertise to an array of clients, situations, and topic areas
    • Execute and summarize analyses in a client-ready format, ensuring the analyses are ready to be incorporated into a longer "story" or explained in working sessions.
    • Synthesize and translate research and analytical results into clear and compelling recommendations.
    • Employ critical and creative thinking to make interpretations when available information is insufficient
    • Support in building and nurturing business development pipeline through conversations with digital solution companies (through analyst intake and projects) and broader relationship building
    • Provide oversight to junior team member(s) in research projects
    • Provide professional representation of AVIA's brand, research, insights, and analysis to Marketplace customers and in broader industry events (conferences, trade shows, etc)
Minimum Qualifications:
    • In depth knowledge of the digital health ecosystem and market dynamics
    • Deep understanding of health systems and health economics; 8-12 years of prior work experience in a hospital/health system or health care-related company preferred
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree in an applied health care field (eg, health care administration, health care policy) strongly preferred
    • Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions.
    • Demonstrated ability to synthesize large amounts of healthcare research and studies into digestible business language for C-suite leaders of digital health companies
    • Project management skills: Experience participating in projects of different sizes and managing work streams through input from various stakeholders; detail-oriented and efficient with time management
    • Communication skills: Ability to communicate technical and analytical information to clients and internal teams in verbal and written formats
    • Consultative mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a focus on customer/client satisfaction
    • Ability to develop analytics models and conceptual frameworks for client engagements
    • Ability to work independently, while also being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams and support the workflow of others in a team.
    • Strong organizational skills: ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality deliverables.
