Who you are:
The Culinary Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Culinary Services Department and supervision of the culinary staff. The Culinary Director is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of menu planning and meal preparation, outstanding plate presentation and prompt and remarkable service to all residents throughout all culinary experiences within the community.
What you'll do:
- Purchase all food and manage inventory, ensuring effective cost controls and vendor service and quality
- Actively prepare meals, manage the menu as planned, check-in food upon delivery, and manage dietary needs
- Training, manage, and schedule staff to ensure that excellent customer service is provided
- Ensure the highest nutrition and food quality for the health and pleasure of the residents while complying with all federal, state, and local regulations to ensure sanitary and safe operations
- Plans and executes entertaining dining events and themes in conjunctions with the Activities Director, Marketing Director, and other administrative staff to optimize the life and pleasure of the residents
- Must be proficient in MS Office suite, Teams, and online ordering systems
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Candidates must have completed an approved Dietary Manager's Course or possess a ServSafe Certificate*
- Must have knowledge of dietary procedures, as well as related Health Department regulations and guidelines pertaining to food service operations
- Minimum of 1 year dining services management experience, including management of food inventories and budgets
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role of others preparing food and servicing customers
- Must be drug free and submit to urinary analysis drug screening upon hire and routinely
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public
- Flexibility with schedule (must be able to work weekend and evening shifts)
- Basic knowledge of special dietary needs
- Qualified candidates without ServSafe certificate may be considered but must obtain certification within first 30 days of employment
Salary : $45
