AVER, LLC is Hiring a Data Scientist Near Washington, DC
AVER is seeking a Data Scientist with in-depth knowledge and experience as a Python Developer or Full Stack Developer and driving new and advanced analytics for a Data Services Analytics team.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, maintain, and update operational data from SME's and systems of records
- Working complex data structures in both the structured and unstructured data environments to solve enterprise- wide data challenges.
- Responsible for building high quality presentations to summarize and explain data results and findings for senior leadership.
- Advise and lead the development of any agency’s data governance strategy and plan and must be able to act as a consultant to effectively communicate data governance value and resulting culture shifts.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher/equivalent work experience in related field
Minimum Qualifications:
- Data Scientist with 8 years of data analytics experience, including the following skills:
- Tableau, Cognos with SQL, Oracle, Python to build/support data lake, Python Libraries, AI/ML Models, Machine Learning (ML) techniques to conduct data analysis
- Experience with Text Analytics (Word Embeddings, Text Classification, Topic Modeling, Clustering, & Sentiment Analysis)
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Machine Learning (ML) techniques to conduct data analysis
- Graphene, Pandas, Django or Flask (backend services)
- PySolr (Solr Integration), GitLab
- Docker, Docker Swarm/Kubernetes
Work Location:
- Washington, DC (Hybrid)
Security Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust).
- This role supports a government agency Position requires U.S. citizenship.
