Reporting to the Vice President, Getaway Products, the Senior Product Director is responsible for product management to enable efficient client and partner connections to the Availity network through the Gateway and Clearinghouse solutions. The individual in this role will be responsible for end-to-end roadmap for the API Marketplace and other related products and solutions that enable connecting to the Availity network. In this role, the Senior Product Director will manage the roadmap and partner with others in Product, Technology, User Experience, and other departments, as necessary. Sponsorship, in any form, is not available for this role. Why you want to work on this team: You will expand and enhance provider engagement with industry leading API Marketplace to facilitate integrated workflow with payer value-add services. You will contribute in growing Availity’s network with emerging API services and methodologies. You will build API Marketplace to facilitate rapid and efficient development of healthcare applications to simplify healthcare administration. This role positions Availity at the center of the healthcare interoperability universe. This is an opportunity to drive Availity’s growth in a strategic area by developing a product line. To be qualified for this position, you: Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, preferably in a leadership role. Have experience with modern technology architectures, API and healthcare platforms, and database technology. Have experience within the Health Insurance sector or Healthcare Provider market. Have integration experience using REST / JSON to enable developer connections. Are familiar with delivering APIs as a service as a core product offering. Have experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions. Have experience with P&L and business planning. Have strong communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner. What will set you apart: You have experience representing company and products to the client and industry. You have healthcare clearinghouse or healthcare platform experience. You have experience with API Connect or similar tool. You are knowledgeable of API Marketplace competitors. You are familiar with FHIR and Graph QL. What you will be doing: Directly managing initiatives and leading matrixed, cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful value to users by connecting to the Availity network. Identifying, documenting, and prioritizing detailed market requirements to enable connections to Availity Clearinghouse and Gateway. Managing end to end definition and delivery with development of API Marketplace and other solutions required. Collaborating with content teams across healthcare transactions on API solutions so they are market-ready for large submitters ensuring value-added content is available. Collaborating with VP of Clearinghouse and Gateway to determine monetization strategy and pricing. Managing operational process for deployment of API content Collaborating with support teams on training, troubleshooting and documentation. Ensuring implementation guides are well documented and provide effective self-service developer environment to minimize support costs and provide good user experience that makes it easy for users to consume Availity content. Contributing to achievement of business growth objectives. Supporting interactions with large partners and customers. Developing a near-term release plan and roadmap and positioning to clearly communicate value being delivered. Developing business cases and prioritization for proposed investments. Evaluating buy/build/partner opportunities for extending solutions. Developing and leading launch plans, market/competitive positioning, pricing, and placement/distribution strategies. Developing and delivering (in partnership with Learning & Development, Marketing and Legal) content for use in training the field organization and inclusion in marketing collateral. After launch, monitoring market response to commercialization activities to fine-tune strategy and ensuring achievement of growth objectives. Building close, collaborative relationships with other functional areas as well as with customers to achieve business objectives.
