SUMMARY

AutoZone is looking for a talented Full-Stack Engineer to join our team. You'll have the opportunity to work on initiatives to build AutoZone’s store of the future to support connected retail across all channels. Ideal candidate must have good background in developing web applications using ReactJS and or other similar frontend technologies along with developing services/API using language like Java and C . A working knowledge of Linux or Unix based operation systems is necessary in this role. Should have the mindset to learn new skills and business processes. The candidate should also possess good problem solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

• Design, code, review, test, deploy, document and support core business applications.
• Make complex changes to existing code or craft new code that will perform efficiently and effectively while meeting business needs.
• Troubleshoot complex problems in production environments.
• Act as a team lead and provide guidance and coaching to other junior members on the team.
• Participate in peer cod reviews by quickly digest intentions in other team members development activities and provide critical feedback and guidance.
• Learn and understand core business product and support the training of team members on the functional execution of that product.
• Critique current systems and processes to look for weaknesses or deficiencies and provide ideas and solutions to remediate those.
• Support a collaborative, self-empowered and agile team culture.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and support a team-based success perspective.
• Collaborate with other IT teams like architecture, service governance and program management organizations to create wholistic solutions that benefit the enterprise.

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related Engineering field.
• Experience developing software applications using one of more technologies like React, Java, NodeJS and C .
• Experience using Relational Databases (ex. Oracle/Informix/SQL Server etc.) and writing SQL queries.
• Typically requires 3 to 5 years of experience as a full-time Software Engineer.
• Familiarity developing software using Agile processes and the Scrum framework.
• Experience using SCM tools like Git, GitLab, and GitHub.
• Ability to work on a distributed team using chat and collaboration software for primary communications.
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies to be a full-stack engineer.
