Summary:

This position is architecturally focused on design, engineering and deployment as well as provides tier 4 support for voice over IP related software, hardware, applications, databases, and tools. This may include applying domain knowledge and using technical skills to support customers, resolve problems, provide training as required, functional/technical requirements, documentation, estimation, planning, and project management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide environmental roadmaps for business capability enhancements as well as for growth.
• Regularly deploys, maintains, upgrades, and supports existing voice and related systems to ensure operational stability for business groups.
• Elicits functional requirements and documents these for use by the application development team, the architecture team, and other operational teams.
• Implements hardware and software changes based on new and existing system requirements and installs the necessary hardware and equipment infrastructure (power, cables, etc.) to meet these requirements.
• Implements system health monitoring tools and monitors voice hardware and software systems to ensure that established SLAs are met.
• Negotiates with vendors to ensure that all system requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
• Keeps abreast of all innovations and changes to AutoZone systems to ensure having the appropriate tools and training to provide quality support.
• Performs functional / technical requirements gathering, documentation, estimation, planning and project management on mid-size projects or parts of large projects.
• Assist with hardware procurement following our internal processes.
• Trains overall team in functional areas, business process, architectural design, roadmaps, etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field 
• Technical skills – Cisco VOIP technologies; UCS hardware, Unified Communication Manager, Unity Connections, Jabber and CUBE required. Ribbon/Sonus SBC and Microsoft Teams Voice experience a plus.
• Requires at least fifteen years’ relevant experience based on consistently demonstrated capabilities.
• CCNP/CCIE preferred
• Solid problem solving, relevant domain and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers as well as executive leadership.
• Subject matter expertise in Unified Communications and Voice Over IP.
• Expertise in multiple technical areas.
• Functional/technical requirements gathering and design documentation.
• Medium-sized project management – estimating, planning, controlling, and execution.
• Typically, is able to perform tasks with little or no supervision.
  Position has been approved as full-time remote.
