What are the responsibilities and job description for the ANUSA Parts Associate position at AutoNation, Inc.?
Position Overview
Organizational Relationships:
Reports directly to the Parts Manager, interacts with all levels of dealership staff.
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
- Maintains parts inventory by verifying supplies and placing orders when order-points are reached.
- Stocks items by unpacking, arranging, and placing items in bins and on shelves and adjusting inventory system.
- Receives returned items by inspecting items; re-packing and re-shelving items; returning damaged and unused parts to supplier.
- Maintains safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures and complying with codes.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading about new products.
- Place daily parts orders. Assist Parts Manager in processing weekly stock orders.
- Ensure that credits are received for returned parts. Remove returned parts from inventory after credit are received.
- Assist in annual parts returns. Provide necessary information to the Warranty Department to allow prompt filing of parts warranties.
- Match purchase orders and invoices, approve and forward to accounting office.
- File company copies of parts counter invoices.
- Assist in preparing for annual parts inventory.
- Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Must meet company’s requirements for employment.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- At least 6 month experience in After Market Parts environment.
- Ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
- Ability to use parts department computer system, calculator and motor vehicle.
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.
- Valid in-state driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to operate an automobile.
- Ability to withstand prolonged periods of computer usage and/or data entry.
- Ability to lift, stand, walk and/or sit for prolonged periods.
- Ability to work in various working conditions both indoors and outdoors, including but not limited to extreme heat and/or cold, and rain.
- Ability to kneel, bend, and/or reach above the shoulders.
- Ability to lift seventy-five pounds.
