Automotive Credit Corporation is Hiring an Insurance Specialist Near Southfield, MI

Job Summary

This position is responsible for processing and evaluating claims for third party, GAP, and CPI insurance. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, ensuring that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.

ACC is looking for Insurance Specialist who bring our core values DRIVEN to work every day. A successful Insurance Specialist exhibits:

Essential Job Functions / Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform numerous insurance duties, including but not limited to contacting insurance companies, collecting supporting paperwork for claims, contacting customers, and updating account status and claim progress.
  • Properly evaluate settlement offers from insurance companies to ensure the highest payout before sending Letter of Guarantee
  • Process internal and third-party GAP claims in a timely manner
  • Communicate inter-departmentally as needed
  • Track and update insurance payments
  • Assist with CPI policy related questions
  • Provide excellent customer service internally and externally

Position Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of (2) years relevant office experience, preferably in the auto industry
  • Must have strong communication and organization skills
  • Experience with Insurance claims strongly preferred
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented and diligent in follow-up
  • Must have strong customer service skills
  • Must be computer literate (experience with collection application software and Microsoft Office)
