Description
Summary
Assembles metal component parts and electrical equipment to gate operators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assembles component parts, subassemblies, and electrical equipment and install on gate operators with nuts, bolts and screws.
- Uses hand and power tools to assemble units according to work order.
- Cuts and terminates wires.
- Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Identifies units that fail tests and/or tolerance levels and repairs.
- Performs interdepartmental QC checks
- Maintains UL log for Hi-Pot testing.
- Follows all assembly procedures per UL standards.
- Completely reviews work order.
- Assembles Wire Harness, control boxes, electrical boxes, transformers, motor bracket assembles and sub-assemblies, bullwheels
- Installs drive belts, electrical components, transformer, fuse holder, and related wires
- Tests electrical and drive systems, auxiliary electrical systems troubleshoots and repairs
- Other duties may be assigned.

The person performing this job function is required to wear safety glasses with side shields at any time that are performing any duties in the production area of the shop.

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training in similar environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Above average math, communication, and mechanical skills.
