Job Requisition ID # 22WD56180 Position Overview Autodesk Forge Visualization Graphics Team is seeking a Senior Software Developer to work on the key OGS (One Graphics System) software components - a shared graphics system used by many Autodesk applications, including AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, Fusion, and Maya. You will join a talented technical team in undertaking a complete modernization of the Graphics components - providing Autodesk applications with the ability to support, and take advantage of the latest and future generations of graphics technology. Responsibilities Take a lead role and own a particular area of a project and codebase Actively participate in decision making and direction by making recommendations on improving product quality as well as group productivity Be responsible for code of significant size and complexity which may require a high degree of ingenuity or creativity Design, prototype, implement, test and troubleshoot product features according to market requirements and product specifications Produce clean, maintainable, well-documented code in adherence with internal standards Work closely with QA teams in unit level testing and problem resolution Write high level software designs and specifications prior to coding. Create low level software designs for feature implementation. Document implications for other areas of the product Work effectively with the cross-geo (USA, China, Australia) OGS development team and help overcome the challenges of time and distance Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience delivering professional software Strong experience with Computer Graphics application development Experience with real time graphics development using APIs like DirectX, Vulkan, and Metal Strong object-oriented, software architecture, and C skills are required Capacity to maintain and evolve large projects Must have excellent time, task, and resource organization skills and be willing to meet aggressive deadlines Must be able to work well with other programmers and existing codebases Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships Flexibility and ability to respond quickly to multiple priorities Good written and verbal English communication skills Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with USD, Hydra, and MaterialX is a big plus Git/Github knowledge Knowledge of build and deployment technologies, such as Jenkins, CMake, and Python Expert knowledge in graphics technologies and are in tune with rapidly changing industry trends Familiarity with Agile software development process At Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world.
