Austin Retina Associates is Hiring an Optometric Technician Near Austin, TX

Are you interested in working with eyes as an optometric technician or maybe you’re an experienced technician looking to step into the world of retinal ophthalmology?

If so, this is the job for you!

What You’ll Do

Perform basic medical and ophthalmic assessments/testing

Perform ophthalmic imaging

Input chart notes

Set up for procedures and assist physicians

Spend a lot of time with patients getting to know their condition and helping prepare them for a physician exam

Opportunities to learn advanced imaging, charting, and coding

Things You Need to Know

This job does require schedule flexibility because our technicians work in different locations each day. Some early mornings and longer days will be required.

Monday to Friday schedule

Having a satisfactory driving history is required, as well as passing a background check and having personal car insurance.

You’ll need to be at least 21 years old and have reliable transportation, although you won’t need to drive your own vehicle outside of the Austin/Round Rock area.

The job is fairly active and you’ll be moving around the clinic and using a computer a lot, as well as using your hands while using instruments and computers.
