The CCS team (Clients & Client Services) at Audacy powers all frontend experiences for our listeners. Keyword “experiences”. Everything we do in our group relates to our mission to deliver a world-class audio experience, which includes music, podcasts, sports, news, and so much more!

Our team is growing and looking for the right Solutions Architect to join us! We work together everyday to do things that matter, leave things better than when we started, and always keep our listener’s experience in mind. The Solution Architect will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of core technologies, architectures, and POCs that are critical to our success, as well as development, documentation, and mentoring the team. You will have the opportunity to use your expertise to maintain existing mobile, web, smart speaker, and connected device apps along with helping create the next generation of these experiences. Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Use your experience in React, React Native, Typescript/Javascript, and native engineering to architect world-class mobile, web, smart speaker, and connected device audio experiences.
• Develop robust, testable scalable technical solutions, following industry-standard best practices.
• Own architecture, POCs, tech spikes/feasibilities, and development decisions for our teams.
• Assist with addressing field issues, with an eye on improving app stability and end-user experience.
• Participate in weekly architecture meetings and advocate for CCS (front-end) needs.
• Help maintain, architect, and develop Client Services – a CCS package for our apps that contains our core audio streaming business logic.
• Propose and advocate for clean, functional design systems.
• Define technical architectures that account for stakeholder requirements, goals, and constraints.
• Partner with all teams and create clear lines of communication.
• Mentor other team members and oversee all aspects of development.
• Define testing requirements, and authoring unit and behavioral cases plus working alongside QA to ensure quality.
• Work with Jira, our bug tracking and project management software.
• Contribute using your awesome verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

More About You:

Required & Preferred:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong engineering fundamentals including data structures, OOP, time complexity analysis, and code refactoring/reusability.
• 5 years experience in agile software development.
• 5 years acting as a front-end architect or equivalent role.
• Experience with modern front-end technologies: React, React Native, Typescript/Javascript, iOS Swift/Objective C, Android Java/Kotlin.
• Experience architecting RESTful APIs.
• Ability to create and review design mocks and account for them in architecture decisions.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Experience with Git source control.
• Prior experience in unit testing and/or test-driven development is a plus.
• Experience with various store submission processes is a plus.
• Experience with app code signing is a plus.
• Experience with audio streaming standards such as HLS is a plus.
• Understanding of in-app advertising & analytics is a plus.

Additional Information

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $120,000-$150,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity. This position can be located remotely or at one of Audacy’s offices in Denver, New York City, Philadelphia, or Chicago.
