The 412 Youth Zone is growing! Youth aging out are a critical population in our society that has suffered from extremely poor outcomes in the past. Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS) decided to make a significant change in its services for youth aging out of the system, ages 16-24. This change means that Auberle operates all aspects of service delivery for these youth through a One Stop Center, the 412 Youth Zone, based in Wood Street Commons in downtown Pittsburgh. We know that this innovative approach will become the national standard and have already been part of expanding the idea to other regions!

Through the Youth Zone, Auberle’s Behavioral Health Department provides a wide range of services to youth aging out of the system. Services include psychiatric, psychological, mental health and substance abuse services through Auberle’s Outpatient Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol licenses. Auberle is seeking a master’s level professional who has experience and interest in working with adolescents and young adults struggling with concerns related to mental health and/or substance abuse.

Our therapists include a combination of Professional Counselors, Marriage & Family Therapists and Social Workers, most of whom are pursuing state licensure. We are invested in employees’ professional development and can assist in providing supervision hours required for licensure.

Key Requirements:

• Master’s degree required in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field
• 2 years of experience with youth and/or social service
• Strong desire to work with teens and young adults
• A flexible schedule including some evening hours
• Act 33/34 clearances (criminal and child abuse) as well as FBI clearance pre-employment, Full COVID-19 vaccination required within 30 days of hire
