Lead Teacher | $23-26/hr | Part-Time | Cincinnat
You will be working in a Christian school as an academic visionary who possesses the ability and or willingness to become skilled in research based, blended teaching methodologies and strategies. An Academy Teacher must possess an unwavering belief that all students can and will succeed if given the opportunity. Unlike a traditional high school classroom, teachers work as an educational team developing a collaborative and collegial working environment where high expectations are set and maintained for students and staff alike. The goal set for every student must be graduation, which will provide the student with a gateway for them to become productive citizens of their communities and the world marketplace.
Qualifications/ Professional Attributes:
● Bachelor’s Degree required (Humanities, Math/Science, etc.
● Possession of a State Teaching Credential – Preferred
● Credential to teach at the high school level in any of the following core subjects: math, science, language arts or social studies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
● Develop and maintain student programs, student intakes and Individualized Learning Plans.
● Coach and mentor students with reference to goal setting, problem solving, and progress tracking
● Instruct in academic subjects, including social interaction, personal development and life skills.
● Develop and monitors student Individual Learning Paths (IIP) to ensure all graduation requirements are fulfilled.
● Commits to the inputting and monitoring of student informational data outside of the regular working day.
● Demonstrate knowledge of and utilize all available curriculum resources.
● Establish and maintain regular channels of communication with home, staff, and related agencies.
● Work with individuals to increase motivation, provide constant, positive reinforcement to learning, and constant feedback.
● Input and maintain accurate records as required by state and federal law, and district policy and administrative regulations.
● Maintains positive classroom management by setting and communicating high, consistent expectations for learning and achievement.
● Acts in a professional manner at all times and as an effective role model for students.
