As a Survey Crew Chief at Atwell you will work on diverse projects within commercial/residential land development, as well as renewable energy. Survey Crew Chiefs play an crucual role in our success at Atwell, and we are looking for growth minded individuals to join our team! - Provide leadership to field crews including supervising, training, and mentoring Crew Members; as well as encouraging continuous professional development at Atwell - Commute to and from sites daily in a company provided truck. - Perform survey activities such as leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys and profile and cross section surveys. - Recommend changes in specifications, budget, and schedule, consistent with project objectives. - Perform physical tasks such as line clearing, pounding stakes, setting monuments, and locating critical underground objects. - Set up, adjust, and operate Trimble survey equipment including; total station, data collector and GPS equipment. - Take pride in accurately measuring distances, angles, and elevations for staking purposes. - Reviewing survey field calculations and adjust when needed. - Prepare accurate field notes and complete as-built drawings. - Meet client needs and achieve project profitability by maintaining project budget and schedule and report results to management and/or team. - Assist the Team Leader with performance reviews for Crew Members and foster teamwork within the field crews - Rewarding and motivating your crew with spot bonuses and Peer Recognition Rewards Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a Survey Crew Chief role, or 4 years as an Instrument Operator - Ability to effectively communicate with contractors, inspectors and team leaders - The ideal candidate will have prior experience with Trimble equipment Atwell Benefits
