Summary:
Atomica is seeking a Vice President of Development to spearhead the seamless integration of processes for our revolutionary new products and cutting-edge MEMS devices. This is an exciting opportunity to assume a pivotal leadership position within a multi-disciplinary team comprising highly skilled scientists and engineers. Together, we will address the most formidable process development and integration challenges while maintaining a focus on manufacturability (DFM).
A strong background and deep understanding of MEMS technology, semiconductor manufacturing processes, program management, and product development methodologies are essential to make informed decisions and guide the team effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction, technical guidance and excellent management to the development engineering and program management teams.
- Foster collaboration and alignment across various departments, including process engineering, production, and quality control to ensure successful integration and development.
- Identify opportunities to improve integration planning - understanding the production capabilities, identifying required changes, and ensuring seamless integration
- Define and implement relevant KPIs to track the progress of integration and product development projects, enabling data-driven decision-making and accountability.
- Streamline integration processes by reviewing and optimizing the integration processes for new products to enhance efficiency, reduce time-to-market, and ensure smooth integration.
- Create a comprehensive product development roadmap that outlines the timeline, resource requirements, and strategic direction for new product development initiatives.
- Successfully take products into production.
Requirements:
- Degree in engineering - Masters or Ph.D. is preferred.
- Extensive experience (15 years) in the semiconductor industry (MEMS preferred), with a focus on development engineering and process integration.
- Proven track record of successfully overseeing the transfer of products in pilot production into HVM.
- Strong technical expertise in MEMS design, fabrication processes, and characterization methods.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive innovation and overcome technical challenges.
- A results-oriented mindset with a keen focus on meeting customer expectations and business objectives.
- Strong understanding of financial principles to manage budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and assess the financial impact of product development initiatives.

Compensation:
$180,000-$260,000
