Who You Are

  • Must be able to operate in a non-remote work setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a relevant field
  • At least 2 years of experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to operate professionally and maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid SHRM or HRCI credential
  • Complete familiarity and experience with all standard HR processes
  • Extensive experience with an HRIS; specifically, Paylocity
  • A positive attitude focused on both individual and team success
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management

What You’ll Do

  • Own all new employee orientation tasks from background screening to coordination of their first day at Atlas 
  • Full cycle management of employee personnel files from onboarding to offboarding
  • Complete quarterly internal file audits to ensure consistent CDE compliance
  • Benefits administration ranging from new hire to COBRA enrollments and qualifying events
  • Assist with candidate interviews as needed in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Specialist
  • Lead by example and uphold the most current policies and procedures within employee handbook
  • Assist with the organization and scheduling of training and development activities
  • Track the completion of various tasks such as performance reviews, new policy acknowledgements, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team on monthly and quarterly employee appreciation events
  • Field incoming employee inquires and forward to the Director of Human Resources as appropriate
  • Assist the Director of Human Resources with various projects as necessary
  • Other related duties as assigned

Essential Job Functions

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed

Compensation & Schedule

  • Annual Range $50,000 - $57,000
  • Monday – Friday
