Overview

Morristown Medical is seeking a full-time registered nurse for the night shift on the Mother Baby Unit. Every other weekend is required.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.

Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.

Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.

Must care for low and high risk post partum Moms and newborns. Post Op Gyn patients and post partum re admitted patientsMust have exceptional customer service skills and follow the Baby Friendly Philosophy of Mother Baby Care

Qualifications

Education:

BSN preferred

Required License:

Valid New Jersey Nursing License 

Certifications:

BLS required

ACLS preferred

Related Experience:

A minimum of 1 year of Mother Baby experience of experience in an Acute Care setting as a Registered Nurse is preferred. In hospital, acute care setting required.
