**Senior Manager, AMD Ryzen Servers Portfolio and Marketing Manager**

**THE ROLE:**

The Senior Manager, AMD Ryzen Servers Portfolio and Marketing Manager is a new critical role in our server team that leads cross functional efforts to create a winning portfolio of AMD Ryzen based platforms and solutions within our strategic OEM/ODM/SI partners as well as accelerate and scale GTM investments to maximize portfolio penetration in the market. As a result, this role is at the center of securing more than our fair share of the market and meeting/exceeding revenue, units, and margin goals in this growing part of the AMD Datacenter business.

One of the more exciting and complicated roles within our business, this role sits within the Datacenter server Business unit and works in partnership with our EPYC and Ryzen product management teams, individual OEM partner portfolio and marketing leaders and their Global sales counterparts. In addition, this role is the primary interface to various functions within AMD including engineering, corporate marketing, finance, accounting, legal, and operations.

**THE PERSON:**

The candidate will need to be prepared to jump in, take the lead and learn quickly. The candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, be highly organized, and have polished interpersonal skills. The candidate will need to effectively understand our partners objectives and translate AMDs objective into relevant portfolio plans and co-marketing strategies. Proven expertise in the value server solution sector will be coupled with a high level of skills in common communication and analysis software tools. Situational awareness, strong technical and business acumen, and customer facing skills are a must.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

**Accountable for driving investments and AMD resources to create a winning portfolio of AMD Ryzen based server products and solutions with several of our strategic partners: Typical activities within this responsibility are:**

- Ensure OEM/ODM product planning, engineering, management, and architecture teams are consistently informed on AMDs product roadmaps, value propositions, specifications, pricing, and strategy.

- Develop winning portfolio strategies with OEM partners that manifest into proposed product/solutions concepts ultimately released to the market.

- Manage complex Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) budget and investments for platforms/solutions. This includes developing and presenting market/technical/business investment opportunities to senior executive management.

- Contract creation and negotiation for NRE investments and track them through to completion and product/solution ramp.

- Manage and coordinate the necessary AMD resources to help OEMs bring those products to market including development samples, engineering support, product updates, and development and launch timing.

**Responsible for aligning and executing co marketing plans and marketing development funds to scale go to market activities to maximize OEM partner(s) portfolio penetration in the market. Typical activities within this responsibility are:**

- Ensure OEM product marketing, corporate marketing, field marketing and sales are consistently informed on AMDs product roadmaps, value propositions, specifications, pricing, and strategy.

- Develop winning Go to Market strategies with OEM partners that result in killer marketing activities and deliverables at the OEM and within AMD.

- Manage complex Market Development Fund (MDF) budget and investments for go to market activities with the OEM. This includes leading, developing ,and presenting a cohesive plan at the senior leadership level in joint Quarterly Marketing Reviews (QMRs)

- Contract creation and negotiation for MDF investments as well as Pricing and Rebate programs and track them through to completion and implementation.

- Manage and coordinate the necessary AMD resources to help OEMs bring those GTM plans to life including AMD corporate marketing, PR, AR, sales enablement.

**Gain market share and meet/exceed revenue/unit/margin goals for the full Ryzen server portfolio across OEM(s). Typical activities within this responsibility are:**

- Conduct financial models and what if analysis as a part of AMDs Monthly Operating Forecast (MOF) Model.

- Coordination for supply/demand fulfillment and analysis to rightsize supply to profitable, high growth demand

- Optimize pricing model and structure for margin management.

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:**

* Extensive experience at one or more server OEMs in product management, product marketing, and/or field marketing.

* Experience in roles requiring technical and business acumen in the datacenter space with a strong understanding of the product planning and development process as well as end sales and marketing motions at OEMs.

* Typical product management and marketing experience in areas such as market/competitive analysis, financial modeling, contract creation/negotiation, requirements gathering, and marketing plan creation/execution.

* Experience and comfort in working as point person in highly ambiguous situations requiring leadership and coordination across multiple organizations.
