Atlanta Interventional Institute is Hiring a Medical Front Office Coordinator Near Smyrna, GA

We are Atlanta Fibroid Center (also known as Atlanta Interventional Institute) an Interventional Radiology medical practice that specializes in treating Uterine Fibroids, along with several other procedures focused on Women's Health. We're seeking a talented Patient Care Coordinator to work in our front office coordinating the services of our two physicians.

Yes, this is high-tech medicine that can do some amazing things, and we look forward to showing you just how far medical technology has developed. We're on the cutting edge of medicine, and we need a few good people to make our front office as amazing as our technology.

So, we're in growth mode, and seeking a talented individual to fill out our office staff. What do you need to work here?

  • First, you need to be personable and detail oriented. We want our patients to walk away from an appointment thinking, "Wow, those people made me feel really warm and appreciated! They helped me, and had my best interests at heart." We also want your co-workers to enjoy working with you because you are naturally a full-time all-around nice person. People are attracted to you because you smile nicely, listen attentively, and have a helping attitude. Ever been to a great restaurant or hotel where you walked away with a warm feeling and a smile? That's how we want our patients to feel as they leave our office.
  • Almost as important as being nice is your work ethic. We want our staff to arrive at work "raring to go with smiles on their faces," and able to keep up the pace for the entire day. We need people who will drive each task to completion, quickly and efficiently, keeping their smile and their attitude intact.
  • You will find it easier to work here if you have some experience working in a medical office. We want you to be able to "hit the ground running," by understanding medical terminology, medical records, privacy concerns, and the basics of how a medical office operates. You don't need to be a grizzled medical veteran (although you could be), but we hope you'll be able to demonstrate that you can fit into a fast-paced medical office environment, and have a glowing reference from a recent past employer.
  • You probably guessed that we're going to need more than just casual familiarity with computers, networks, and the office machines that depend on them. Please come to us with a reasonable typing speed (at least 40 wpm), the ability to quickly enter data into medical records, comfort with Windows, Office, Google Suite, EMR, practice management software, and cloud-based internet applications. You're good at figuring things out on the computer, and can apply your knowledge to learn new things. Although we don't need you to be a computer nerd or programmer, we want YOU to intimidate the COMPUTER, not the other way around.
  • You're a team player and always have been. You know that when a good team comes together, it can become more productive than any one individual on that team. We want you to be able to interact positively with the front office staff, as well as the medical team. You are ready to help your teammates, and ask for help when you need it. You can stand on your own two feet and solve the simple problems that present themselves, but when something comes up beyond your skill set, you can coordinate with others to handle it. You focus on solving problems, not complaining about them.
  • You are a great communicator, in person, in writing, in email, over the telephone, and with your co-workers. You can leave a good message for a patient that will get the point across, and you can do it with a smile.
  • You can handle multiple tasks with ease. We're a small enough company where you will need to work on several items simultaneously, so you'll need to switch between tasks effortlessly. We want people who thrive on activity, and get stronger during the peak periods. You are the type of person who will shift to a higher gear when things get intense (which happens sometimes), and keep a smile on your face at all times.
  • Of course, you're always on time for work, and expect to be with us for a full day, every day. You are the type of person who finds the time to handle life's many personal chores outside of work hours.
  • Flexibility is key in this position. We all wear a few hats here because we're lean and aggressive. If handling a variety of ever-changing tasks excites you, then our company may be the right place for you. Multi-taskers do well here.

Now that we've been through what we're seeking in a good candidate, you are probably interested in what we plan to do for you:

  • Yes, we plan to pay you. How much we pay depends on how well you meet the criteria outlined above. If you have a great skill set and a lot of applicable experience, you can expect to be at the top of the scale.
  • Of course, we have paid holidays, vacation, sick time, and all the standard stuff. We operate only on weekdays, so you can plan on weekends to recharge your batteries, doing whatever makes you happy. Yep, no nights, no weekends.
  • Employee Medical Insurance is included during your full-time employment, and we pay the bulk of the cost. During your interview at the office, we can talk about the specifics.
  • We'll be happy to discuss the basic details of our retirement plan when we are ready to make you an offer.
  • The location of our office and lab is in suburban Smyrna, a few minutes off I-285, Exit 15. As you would expect, we have free parking for all employees right outside our door, and our location is quite attractive and safe.
  • This is a position in a rapidly growing medical office founded by an internationally-recognized Interventional Radiologist. We're on the cutting edge of medical technology, which is an exciting place to be. If you are at your best working for the best, then this position will appeal to you.
  • We can guarantee you three things: 1) no two days will be alike, 2) you will be challenged regularly, and 3) you will be doing important, rewarding work.

If you've made it this far, you're probably intrigued. Why don't you click on the application button and complete the short form?

By the way, our website is https://atlii.com. If you're looking to learn more about our company and our technology, that is a great place to start.

In order to be considered, we need a copy of your resume sent to us as an attachment. Yes, spelling and grammar count, because we need great communicators. If we see some potential, we will call you for an initial telephone screening. We may be calling in the evening, up to 8pm.

We would prefer to call you, so please avoid calling or visiting the office. We’re super-busy during the work day, and appreciate your courtesy in this regard.
