Description:

Shift(s): 3X12S DAYS 7A-7P

On Call: Yes – up to 8-weekday call shifts, up to 9 (12-hour) weekend call shifts defined as any Friday, Saturday, or Sunday in 13 weeks, with a 20-minute recall per departmental needs

Weekend: Every Other – 2 Shifts per Contract

Floating: Yes

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Cert Requirements:

Active, unrestricted, Arizona RN License or valid, participating compact license- Required

• BLS (American Heart Assoc.)- Required

• ACLS (American Heart Assoc.)- Required within 90 days of hire

Required Experience:

• Age Group: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

• Inpatient

• Outpatient

• Surgery Cases Experience: General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Total Joints, Endo/Laparoscopic

• MUST HAVE ortho, spine, trauma, general, urology, gynecology, and ENT.

• **neuro and trauma, endovascular/vascular experience required**

Preferred Experience:

• CNOR- Preferred

• Age Group: Pediatrics

• Trauma

• Level 1 Trauma

• Teaching Hospital

• Surgery Cases Experience: Urology, Vascular, Neuro, Gyn, Neuro/Spine, Bariatrics, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT

• CVOR Cases: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Carotid endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Femoral popliteal bypass graft

• Labor and Delivery Cases: Abdominal hysterectomy, Dilation & Curettage, Laparoscopic-assisted

• gynecological procedures, Robotic-assisted Gynecological procedures, Vaginal hysterectomy

• Does not need to have peds experience

• Scrubbing is a plus for RN staff

• 3-5 years of Oncology, Critical Care, and/or Medical Surgical experience- Preferred

• 2 years of Palliative Care or Hospice experience- Preferred

Additional info about the unit:

• Candidate must have experience in Orthopedics or Spine cases

• Will take a traveler with either strong Orthopedic or Spine experience, Candidate needs to have experience in one or the other, please call out in notes

• Medication System: Omnicell

• Documentation System: Cerner

• Communication System: SBAR

• Provider Support: Interpretation Services, Lift Teams, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Transportation, Unit Secretary

• Average Daily Census: 200

• Level 1 trauma center OR with 11 rooms of high volume ortho, trauma and spine cases. All other specialties. Minimal peds

• High volume OR with fast pace needs strong OR nurses and techs that can perform well in multiple specialties.

• Techs do not need a national certification but must be strong in multiple specialties, same as above

• Minimum Experience 2 Years - will accept 2 years, highly prefer 3 years

• Unit Accepts First-Time Travelers
