The Customer Support Specialist is a key carrying supervisor and can be either a full-time or part-time position. They are often the MOD in the store and are an active part of the management team. Although they aren’t directly involved in the selection of the Customer Support team they are directly involved in the team’s assessment, training, and overall development. 
The CSS is a very important part of the store conditioning process by executing and managing the customer support team’s performance while MOD of the building. The CSS will monitor returns/shops to ensure general presentation standards are maintained and the Front End is always NCO. 
The CSS will also monitor that freight processed on the Front End is worked cleanly, registers are clear of obstructions, tripping hazards are immediately addressed, and empty flat beds/carts are removed from the front end. 
CSS reports to the SM and will receive direction from the SD and SM.
