JOB TITLE: Accounts Payable Accountant
DEPARTMENT: Accounting
REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager
We are seeking a skilled, experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join our growing Company. In this position, you will ensure that accounts payable data is processed in a confidential and timely manner; process outgoing payments, communicate mainly with the Purchasing and Accounting Departments.
Main Responsibilities
· Perform vendor and bank reconciliations
· Prepare and analyze landed cost
· Prepare cash flow on a daily basis
· Reconcile freight invoices with landed cost
· Reconcile credit card statements
· Maintain account ledgers and assist in monthly closing
· Create various A/P processes to streamline the processes
· Prepare and perform check runs
· Identify discrepancies and resolve billing issues
· Send bill reminders, contact vendors when necessary
· Work collaboratively with various departments
· Run and analyze reports on a monthly, quarterly basis to ensure payment accuracy
· Keep track of all the company’s credit card spending
· Must be able to work well with others and meet strict deadlines
· Obtain, review and store documents (e.g., certificate of insurance) from vendors
Key Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
· Experience with MS Office and accounting software—SAP B1 experience is a MUST
· Import experience a must , in the distribution industry a plus
· Work independently in a fast-paced environment
· Organized and possess a high attention to detail
· Aptitude for critical thinking, problem-solving and decision making
· Able to calculate and manage accounting records
· Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
· Must have excellent communication skills
· Knowledge of foreign currency a plus
· Willing to learn and assume new tasks such as helping in HR
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
