HIRING NOW: Remote Senior Revenue Accountant (PST Time Zone)

Job Description:

• Prepare journal entries and corresponding supporting documentation related to the three main streams of revenue: Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), California Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS) and Premium Billing Revenue.
• Review and resolve month end risk score accruals for discrepancies and prepare month-end entries for the Mid-Year and Final Risk Score revenue accruals.
• Prepares post-settlement reconciliation of risk score accruals.
• Verify the accuracy of Premium Billing GL extracts (invoicing, payment posting, retro adjustments and accounts receivable aging) for individual and employer group members including Social Security, LIS and LEP members. Report discrepancies and work with Premium Billing and software support team in resolving issues.
• Validate and analyze month-end membership reports to data warehouse table. Identify and report discrepancies to appropriate department for resolution prior to recording of month-end membership. Prepares Membership month-end journal entries.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in accounting in health care, medical, insurance, or related industry
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance degree
• Experience with financial reporting
• Experience with DHCS Audits
