Equivalent Experience


Patient Care Coordinator


Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8am-5pm

Tuesday 8am-6:30pm

Friday 8am-12:30pm

Work Environment:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a liaison between clinical team and patients/visitors by providing a pleasant office experience
  • Answers inbound calls and addresses caller inquiries, directs callers to necessary departments, or initiates a triage email for response by clinical personnel
  • Review appointment schedules and review voicemails daily
  • Schedules and confirms patient appointments
  • Verifies and updates patient demographics,referral sources, and insurance information EMR
  • Maintains complete and accurate patient records, ensuring data integrity and attention to detail
  • Initiates the fulfillment of documentation requests from physicians and other healthcare providers, making sure that necessary information is included in patient records
  • Verifies patient insurance benefit information, effectively communicates payment and billing/collection policies, and collects patient responsibility payments
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment for all patients and visitors per office guidelines and expectations
  • Prepares appointment paperwork for clinicians and patients
  • Provides administrative support for the practice, as needed
  • Works to achieve successful utilization of technology‐based processes to drive efficiency and streamlined operations


  • Minimum 1 year of medical office experience required
  • Strong customer service skills/experience is a MUST
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy

Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft/Excel is a plus
