Overview

Assists with journal entries under supervision; helps in preparation of reports and posting to specific accounts. Responsible for depositing and posting of all deposits daily. Must operate in a manner consistent with GAAP accounting rules. Works with accounting staff in other offices to ensure that reconciliations are in balance. Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accuracy of account information for both new and renewal policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy in rating, fees & taxes and enters these transactions to generate billing invoices in a timely manner.
• Assists client service staff in reconciling clients' accounts and maintaining Accounts Receivable.
• Reconciles Producer report discrepancies and problems. Resolves premium discrepancies and adjusts commissions as needed.
• Creates and maintains premium allocation reports.
• Completes and submits all required reports based on assigned guidelines.
• Assists with data entry of direct bill production into the accounting system according to company procedures.
• Demonstrates proficient knowledge in the area of Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. .
• Advanced degree from college or technical school; or 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Tech savvy; ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems
• Knowledge of Internet software; spreadsheet software, PowerPoint, word processing software and Microsoft Outlook
